  SULLIVAN, EDMUND J., 81, of Delaware County, PA, a retired food company executive, died Wednesday at Riddle Memorial Hospital in Media, PA. Mr. Sullivan was born and raised in Upper Darby, PA and graduated from St. Lawrence School in Upper Darby and Malvern Prep in Malvern, PA. He also attended Villanova University. He was a life-long resident of Delaware County, PA, a member of St. Dorothy Church for over fifty years, and a life-long vacationer at Ocean City. During World War I| he enlisted the Army Air Corps and served in Company 45H, piloting P-51 Mustang aircraft. Mr. Sullivan joined the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company in 1937, beginning as a clerk and rising to the position c of District Manager within Philadelphia Division. He retired tithe the A&P in 1984. Subsequently he held positions as Food Broker at Chase Goldberg and at Eisman Gleit, from which he retired in 2001, Mr. Sullivan is survived by his wife to whom he was married for 61 years; daughters Denise and Shelly, sons Edmund J., Jr., Timothy, Kevin, Brian, and Mark, twenty grandchildren, and nine greatgrandchildren. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Dorothy at Township Line and Burmont Road in Drexel Hill, PA at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2003. Friends may call at noon.
