AUTOMOBILE HITS TRAIN
The Morning Herald, Uniontown PA, December 14, 1922, pg. 3 cols. 5,6,7
While returning to their homes in Connellsville, Tuesday evening, Howard and Samuel Brindle were shaken up and injured when their automobile ran into a train at Trotter crossing. Both men declared they did not notice the train at the crossing until it was too late to stop. The driver swerved the machine and did not hit the train head on. The steps leading into the cab of the engine were torn off and the auto was badly damaged in the collision. The two men were taken to Connellsville by W. M. Keily, of Dunbar, where injuries were dressed and they were later taken home. |
