A contract for the marriage of Charlotte and Pierre Pinel was signed on 27 November 1662 in Québec City, Québec, Canada, drawn up by notary Audouart.   Pierre was found guilty of raping two 10 year old girls. The case was appealed, but up held. He was fined, ordered to have his head shaved, and to be beaten with rods until the blood flowed. After that, to be sent to a prison ship for nine years.
