    Alfred R. Riopelle

    ERVING-Alfred R. Riopelle, 46, of 9 Crescent St. died Thursday at the Treadwell Corporation in Greenfield while making a delivery for Carroll's Trucking Co. Dr. Howard Kemp, medical examiner, said death was due to natural causes. Born Oct. 2, 1917 in Montpelier, Vt., he was the son of Mrs. Myrtie (Lombard) Riopelle. He had lived here for the past nine years. He was brought up in Montpelier and attended schools there. During World War II he served with the Army Air Force in the European Theater. He was a member of the Legion Post in Millers Falls, Damon Spooner VFW Post in Orange, and a member of the Teamsters Union Local 404. He was a driver for Carrolls' Trucking Co. Besides his widow the former Marguerite M Burnett he leaves his mother in Orange three daughters Marion Judy Ann and Cindy Lou all at home six sons Alfred Edward R Lewis G Norman M all at home Robert A of Connecticut and Ronald J of Springfield a sister Mrs. Dorothy Crouse ot Montpelier and a brother Francis L. Riopelle of California The funeral will be held Monday at 2 in St Joseph's Episcopal Church in Athol with Rev Harry Finkenstadt officiating Burial will be in Erving Center Cemetery with full military rites by veterans’ organizations Calling hours will be held tonight and Sunday night from 7 to 9 at the Witty funeral home in Orange.
