  Text	MRS. RACHEL A. OAKES Mrs. Rachel A. Oakes, widow of t the late James Bruce Oakes, died 1 Sunday afternoon at 4 4:30 o'clock at her residence near Watsontown. Death was due to cancer and followed an illness of a year. Mrs. Oakes was a member of the Warrior Run Presbyterian church and was one of the most 'highly esteemed residents of Watsontown: and vicinity. She was aged 67 years and is survived by the following sons and daughters: Mrs. George S. Frederick, of Watsontown R. D.; John W. Oakes, of Wilmington, Del.; W. Wood Oakes, of Shamokin Dam; James E. Oakes, of Sunbury, and Rachel and Alvin, at home; also by one sister, Miss Agnes J. Beard, of New York City. The funeral was held yesterday morning. Rev. P. A. DeLong had charge of the services. Interment was made in the McEwensville cemetery.
